DIY: Turmeric Face Mask For A Glowing Skin
Turmeric, traditionally known as India saffron because of its deep yellow-orange colour. Turmeric has shown significant anti-inflammatory activity because of its volatile oil all its yellow or orange pigment.
Curcumin is the main active ingredients in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Indian brides have long used turmeric body scrubs and face masks to purify and cleanse their bodies as well as provide a healthy glow by brightening their skin right before their wedding.

Turmeric also provides amazing healing benefits not just inside the body, but for your skin.
Turmeric can benefit your skin as a home remedy for acne, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes. It also reduces skin inflammation due to being high in antioxidants and slows down cell damage. It can help reduce pigmentation that even out skin tone.
Turmeric face mask is an excellent exfoliating agent and very easy to make right at home with few ingredients:
~ 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric
~ 1/2 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar
~ 1 tablespoon of raw honey
~ 1/2 tablespoon milk or plain yogurt
~1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
How to apply
wash your face and hands. In a small bowl, mix turmeric powder with honey, apple cider vinegar, milk or yogurt and lemon juice. Apply the mask carefully avoiding your eyes, let it sit on your face for 15-20min then rinse with warm water.
Note: You may need a mild soap with water to remove the yellow stain that may occur. Be careful not to get it on your cloth, since it stains also be careful not to make it too thin as it may drip. Left overs can be kept in the fridge for 2-3days. Apply 3times a week for best result.
