How to get rid of dark Knees and Elbows

Dark kneels and elbow is caused by skin discolouration, sun exposure and a buildup of dead cell in the skin. No matter the causes there are different home remedy right there in your kitchen to help get rid of dark knees and elbow naturally.

1. Coconut oil: is a brilliant home treatment for dark elbows and knees. The oil contains vitamin E that helps prevent dryness and lightens the skin. In Addition, this remedy helps repair damaged and dark skin.

Instructions:

After having a bath or shower, apply some coconut oil on your elbows and knees, then gently massage for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Repeat the process a few times a day for preventing dryness.
An alternative way, you can:
Prepare a 1 tsp of coconut oil, plus ½ tsp of lemon juice. Mix them well and rub this mixture on your knees and elbows. Then, leave it on for about 15 – 20 mins. Next, wipe away with water or paper towels. Repeat this procedure once a day for three days.
Or else, you can also:
Prepare a mixture of 1 tbsp of walnut powder and some coconut. Mix until having a thick paste and use it on your elbows and knees to exfoliate dead skin cells or dark skin patches. Practice it regularly twice or thrice a week.

2. Baking Soda: It works as a gentle cleanser, therefore it is effective for treating dark knees and elbows. It can help to get rid of dead skin cells and bring down hyperpigmentation that forms around the knees and elbows.
Instructions:
Mix baking soda with milk to form a thick paste. Apply the paste on your knees and elbows, leave it for about five minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat this procedure once or twice a week for two months.

3. Aloe Vera helps Break open a fleshy aloe Vera leaf and apply the pulp to rough skin. Leave on for approximately 20 minutes and rinse with cold water. Top up with any moisturiser of your choice.

4. Sugar mix with Olive oil can help brighten the skin tone of your knees and elbows, you can as well use a homemade sugar scrub. Sugar granules help exfoliate dead skin cells and soften the skin.

Mix equal quantities of sugar and olive oil to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on your knees and elbows and rub it gently for about 5 minutes. Then wash it off with a mild soap and warm water. Do this once daily until the skin tone around your knees and elbows lightens. Repeat this treatment on a weekly basis for best result.

Note: This home remedy can also help to get rid of dark knuckles and armpit.
