Janet Jackson the sister to the legendary singer late Michael Jackson, rocked beautiful jewelry made by Ghanaian designer (Aphia Sakyi) for her just-released “Made for Now” video. The video was to pay homage to Michael Jackson’s ‘Remember the Times’ featuring Eddie Murphy in an Egyptian style setting.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Light FM anchored by MyNewsGh.com’s Syxtus Eshun, Aphia Sakyi acknowledged, says her work will take Ghana’s fashion industry to the world.

“My work will promote made in Ghana and lots of things”.

“We also have a saying like Africa to the world or Ghana to the world. However, for the moment our work has gotten to that level we have reached there and it is going to raise the standard of Ghana’s fashion to a higher level”, she said.

Its big honor for Ghana that legendary artists are promoting rich and valuable Ghanaian culture. The musician sparkled the necklace in her latest video dubbed as ‘Made For Now.’

The beautiful choice of Janet Jackson’s jewelry was taken from Aphia Sakyi’s Summer Harmattan collection, titled ’50 Shades Of Print’ and this necklace, in particular, is called the ‘Yaa Asantewaa’ necklace.

The full gathering of pieces for ’50 shades of Print’ is set to be discharged this September and out doored on the runway out of the blue at Accra fashion Week in October.
