The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance this weekend as they stepped out for his cousin Celia McCorquodale’s wedding in Lincolnshire, England. As the couple stepped out for the event, the Duchess was spotted wearing a printed blue dress designed by Oscar de la Renta for the ceremony.

The blue dress was a perfect style for a summer wedding. In unique royal dress code, the Duchess paired her look with a snowy fascinator, white pumps and a classic matching clutch. The resulting dress code made her look like her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The Princess of Wales wore similar look in 1986 during a trip to Saudi Arabia when Harry was two years old. Princess Diana paired her look with white trousers and white flats. Meghan’s sartorial tribute to her late mother-in-law might not be coincident, The Duchess of Sussex also honoured Diana’s style in a few ways on her wedding day which include her 16-foot veil as that of Diana’s trailing version from 1981.
