1 Birth: The celebrity was born in Warri, Delta State in Aladia community of Udi. His early childhood was spent there where he attended Midwest College, Warri and the Anglican Grammar School. He was a fun seeker and a member of the school Drama club.
2 Education: RMD has two degrees from two prestigious Nigerian Universities; University of Benin and University of Lagos where he studied Theatre Arts and Law respectively.
He obtained his Law degree from the University of Lagos in the year 2004.
3 Politics: Not many fans know that Richard Mofe Damijo was a former commissioner in Delta State. He was the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the State.
4 Awards: Two of his most prestigious awards include; In 2012 he won the Best of Nollywood Awards category for the Special Recognition Award, In the 2016 12th Africa Movie Awards, he won The Lifetime Achievement Award,
5 Family: The actor is happily married to Jumobi Acegbesan and he has four children. Two of the four children were from his first marriage to May Ellen-Ezekiel, a popular TV personality who died in 1996.
